KUALA LUMPUR: Affin Bank Bhd has appointed Mohammad Fairuz Mohd Radi as executive director of group community banking effective from Dec 1.
Fairuz has nearly 20 years of experience across multiple industries including banking, property development and consulting.
He held key positions such as chief strategy officer, director of transaction banking and head of strategy for community financial services and wholesale banking.
He also played a key role in the establishment and expansion of regional transaction banking operations in 17 countries, overseeing areas such as deposit, cash management, trade finance, supply chain, financial institution correspondence banking, and security services.
In his new role, Fairuz will be responsible for steering the direction, strategy, financial management, and profitability of the community banking business.
This includes driving the overall go-to-market strategy, overseeing relationship management, and directing business development for both new and existing community banking customers.
President and group chief executive officer Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah welcomed Fairuz to Affin Bank.
