KUALA LUMPUR: Kinergy Advancement Bhd (KAB) has bagged a RM31.04 million contract to undertake electrical works for Mah Sing Group Bhd's multistorey M Nova residential development in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur.
KAB is now the subcontractor to conduct electrical, telephone, and extra low voltage installations for a service apartment project comprising three blocks of M Nova.
The project involves the construction of a total of 2,080 units in two phases.
The first phase will include towers A and B, each with 624 units situated above seven floors of carpark facilities and amenities, and the second phase comprises tower C with the remaining 832 residential units and a retail podium at the lower levels.
The contract awarded to KAB underscores its 26 years of proficiency and expertise in delivering high-quality electrical and telecommunications infrastructure services.
This second contract, which touched RM30 million in November alone, elevates KAB's orderbook value before the year concludes.
Executive deputy chairman and group managing director Datuk Lai Keng Onn said this contract would fortify the company's existing order book with a long-term client and further solidify its partnership with Mah Sing.
"It demonstrates the trust and confidence that Mah Sing has in our capabilities and expertise.
"This shared commitment will enable us to collaborate effectively in creating projects that not only meet the highest standards of quality but also contribute positively to creating a sustainable and ESG-conscious ecosystem," he said in a statement.
By selecting KAB as a vendor for its development project, Mah Sing will be able to incorporate KAB's carbon footprint data, which in turn contributes directly to the decarbonisation of Mah Sing's supply chain.
Both companies, which have a competent track record in the construction and property segments, have been actively making strides in the area of sustainability with Mah Sing's own environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) commitment, which includes its supply chain sustainability improvement programme, and KAB's successful transformation into a sustainable energy solution provider with proactive ESG and sustainability strategies.
