KUALA LUMPUR: MCE Holdings Bhd's unit has secured contracts worth RM55.19 million to supply electronic and mechatronics parts for Proton cars.
The company in its filing with Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd said Multi-Code Electronics Industries (M) BBhd's supply of the parts is expected to start in the second quarter of the financial year ending July 31, 2025 for a duration of 84 months.
The project is expected to generate total revenue of about RM55.19 million for MCE Group over the 84 month period whilst the estimated total investment cost is RM0.65 million.
The company also announced that net profit for the second quarter ended Jan 31, 2024 was up six per cent to RM4.5 milion due to an increase in demand for the group's products from its customers.
This was achieved on two per cent higher revenue of RM40 million.
For the six month period, the group's net profit grew 21per cent to RM9 million.
This was on almost five per cent higher revenue of RM81 million.
It announced a 1.5 sen per ordinary share for the financial year ending July 31, 2024 payable on April 30, 2024.
