MCE Holdings wins parts supply contract for Perodua's new EV

KUALA LUMPUR: MCE Holdings Bhd's subsidiary Multi-Code Electronics Industries (M) Bhd has secured a contract worth RM19.6 million from Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (Perodua) to supply various electronic and mechatronic components. 

In a statement, MCE said the components include multimedia display unit, instrument panel cluster, advanced driver assistance system, functional switches and interior lightings for Perodua's new electric vehicle (EV). 

The contract spans three years from the second quarter of the company's financial year ending July 31, 2026. 

MCE group managing director Dr Goh Kar Chun said the company is proud to support Perodua in the milestone of launching a national EV. 

He added that the achievement is a testament that MCE can penetrate the EV market, which holds immense potential. 

"We are optimistic about further opportunities ahead.  

"Moving forward, we will continue to scale the value chain to deliver higher value and technologically sophisticated products to our clients. 

"We are continuously refining our engineering and research and development (R&D) capabilities to stay ahead of evolving customer demands by developing a new range of electronics and mechatronic components alongside our traditional mechanical offerings to drive future growth," he said. 

Goh also noted that its upcoming state-of-the-art facility in Serendah, the MCE Auto Hub, exemplifies the company's commitment to innovation and positions it to capture new demand in both local and overseas markets.
