KUALA LUMPUR: TMC Life Sciences Bhd has issued a second show cause letter to its suspended group chief executive officer Wan Nadiah Wan Mohd Abdullah Yaakob.
The first show cause letter was issued on Jan 29.
The second letter contains allegations distinct from those outlined in the earlier notice, TMC Life Sciences said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
"The Audit and Risk Management Committee (ARMC) has diligently examined Wan Nadiah's written responses to the initial show cause letter.
"However, the ARMC has determined that these responses were generally inadequate in addressing the allegations raised in the first letter."
The committee had subsequently presented its findings and conclusions to the board, it added.
Depending on Wan Nadiah's responses to the allegations outlined in the second show cause letter, the board will proceed with the subsequent stages of the disciplinary process concerning the allegations stated in both the first and second show cause letters.
TMC Life Sciences previously said Wan Nadiah was suspended from her duties to facilitate an internal disciplinary process for allegations the company did not disclose.
