KUALA LUMPUR: The 104-year old Coliseum Cinema and adjacent Colisuem Cafe and Hotel is up for sale.
According to Knight Frank Malaysia's LinkedIn post, the company has been exclusively appointed to market the sale of the Coliseum Cinema and the adjacent former Coliseum Café and Hotel.
Located on Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, the Coliseum Cinema is still an operating cinema, run by Lotus Five Star Cinemas.
The former cafe and hotel are currently vacant. The iconic Coliseum Cafe closed down for good in 2021.
Built in 1920, the Art Deco-style cinema is the oldest continuously running cinema hall in the country.
Knight Frank said purchase of the properties can be together or separately.
The property company is marketing the buildings as iconic pre-war freehold heritage properties.
Reserve prices for the properties were not provided.
