KUALA LUMPUR: Sentoria Group Bhd today announced that the duties and functions of the group chief executive Officer Datuk Loh Yuen Tuck have been suspended with immediate effect.
The suspension period shall be for a period of three months and shall be vary depending on the final recommendation by External Inquiry Team (EIT) to be appointed soonest possible.
The EIT shall ascertain the areas and seriousness of Loh's misconduct and recommend solutions.
The inquiry shall cover his absence from office without notice from May 17, 2024; abuse of position and authority; and other misrepresentation and irregularities.
The existing duties and responsibilities of Loh will be taken over by the joint managing directors of the company.
The company also announced that on May 28, two independent directors namely Datuk Abdul Rahman Iman Arshad and Dr Lim Zhao Qi resigned.
Lim's resignation was for personal matters and obligations to other foreign entities. While no reason was provided for Abdul Rahman's resignation.
Abdul Rahman's resignation is effective on May 31, 2024.
Sentoria's share price closed nine per cent higher at six sen, giving it a market capitalisation of RM37.3 million.
