Malaysia's Xamble announces key appointments to drive growth plans

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian-based Xamble Group, listed on the Australian Securities Exchange, has announced key appointments to accelerate its ambitious growth plans in line with the growing digital economy.

The company has appointed Shereen Wong as its chief growth officer, Michael Chen as head of marketing and community as well as Prateek Roy as chief product officer.

Xamble chairman Ganesh Kumar Bangah said the appointments were made against the backdrop of the company's aim of scaling its operations higher while expanding market presence across Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

"With the group moving into its 'next phase of growth', it was crucial for it to elevate its capabilities and deliver unprecedented value to our ecosystem of brands, creators and consumers," he said in a statement.

Ganesh cited the company's 'Xamble Creators' platform as a key driver of the growth, highlighting its role in connecting influencers with brands to create compelling content and drive consumer engagement.

He said the platform, along with other innovative solutions like 'Xamble Live Commerce' leverages AI and blockchain technologies to enable a seamless and effective marketing ecosystem.

The transformation is part of Xamble's shift from a service-based to a platform-centric business model, enabling the execution of multiple tasks on a unified digital infrastructure.

The development comes on the heels of Xamble subsidiary Nuffnang Sdn Bhd having clinched the silver award in the 'influencer agency of the year' category at the Malaysian Digital Association's d Awards 2024 recently.

In addition, Nuffnang was also recognised with awards for the branded campaign categories: 'Best influencer marketing campaign' and 'Best B2B marketing campaign' for its partnership with Pos Malaysia Bhd.
