Kuala Lumpur: HWC Coffee plans to expand into the East Coast market with its first branded store at East Coast Mall, Pahang, in November.
Its chief executive officer, Zenda Ng, said the opening of the store is a significant milestone as the coffee chain strives to establish a strong presence in the region, meeting the growing demand for specialty coffee.
"We are excited to expand our presence to the East Coast, ensuring more people can enjoy our premium halal-certified coffee.
"The new store at East Coast Mall marks our commitment to bringing high-quality coffee to this dynamic region, and this is just the beginning of our expansion plans in the East Coast area.
"We believe that our unique offerings and commitment to quality will be well-received, and we are excited to contribute to the vibrant coffee culture on the East Coast," said Ng.
Currently, HWC Coffee operates nearly 70 stores nationwide and serves as the principal franchise holder for Brunei, with two branded stores already established in the country.
As part of its expansion strategy, HWC Coffee aims to continue providing high-quality, halal-certified coffee.
Meanwhile, HWC Coffee donated RM20,000 to Ansara Malaysia as part of their annual corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.
The collaboration between HWC Coffee and Ansara Malaysia began in April with the "Giving Back Programme," specially designed for Ansara members.
Members enjoyed exclusive specialty drinks priced at RM5.90. In the second collaboration, for each purchase of a Spanish Caffe Latte, HWC Coffee contributed RM2 to the Ansara Malaysia x HWC Coffee Welfare Fund.
Through these two initiatives, a total of RM10,000 was raised. The funds raised from this initiative were channelled to the MARA Education Foundation to support the Tuisyen Pintar programme.
HWC Coffee also participated in the Mega Picnic programme organised by Ansara in Kuantan with a sponsorship of RM10,000 to support local initiatives.
This event was attended by the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah; Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah; and their daughter, Tengku Puteri Jihan Azizah 'Athiyatullah.
Ng presented a check for RM20,000 to Ansara Malaysia President Noor Azizee Abd Aziz and the Mega Picnic 50T MRSM Kuantan Programme Head, Rashidi Rashid.
Meanwhile, as part of HWC COFFEE's commitment to education and skill development, HWC COFFEE Academy is expanding its offerings through a collaboration with One World Han Xin College.
Together, they offer a Diploma in Barista course, aiming to equip students with comprehensive coffee knowledge and practical skills.
