KUALA LUMPUR: QL Resources Bhd's share price jumped to as much as 4.2 per cent to RM6.81 a share after it proposed a one-for-two bonus issue.
At 11am, the stock was one of the market's top gainers, rising 2.45 per cent or 16 sen to RM6.69 a share.
Year-to-date, the company's share price has climbed 17 per cent.
On Wednesday, the company proposed a bonus issue of up to 1.22 billion shares.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia Securities, it said the share price adjusted for the bonus issue is not less than 50 sen based on the daily volume-weighted average market price for the three-month period before the application date, which was in accordance with the exchange's listing requirements.
