KUALA LUMPUR: Indonesia's PT TransNusa Aviation Mandiri has opened the sale of its flight ticket from Jakarta to Subang from today (July 15), making it the first airline that is slated to fly out of Subang Airport to do so.
The airline's group chief executive officer Datuk Bernard Francis said TransNusa will be the only carrier to offer scheduled international flights from Subang Airport to Terminal 3, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soekarno-Hatta) from Aug 1.
"I'm thankful for the opportunity to be the first foreign airline to start scheduled jet aircraft operations for an international route from Subang Airport."
"We'll be starting sale of tickets from today," Bernard said in a statement.
The Subang-Jakarta flight is priced from RM299 one-way and the ticket can be bought from TransNusa's official website or through primary online ticketing platforms.
Last week Business Times reported that TransNusa would be one of the two foreign airlines that will operate out of Subang Airport. The airport is also known as Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (SAAS) Airport.
Another foreign carrier that is believed to be flying out of Subang is Singapore's budget carrier, Scoot.
Initially, TransNusa will be flying its Airbus A320 for one daily scheduled flight from Subang to Jakarta.
Flight 8B698 will depart Subang Airport to Terminal 3, Soekarno-Hatta at 7:30pm and arrive in Jakarta at 8:30pm.
Meanwhile, flight 8B699 will depart Jakarta at 4:10pm and arrive at Subang Airport at 7:00pm.
Bernard said flying to Subang is a testament to TransNusa's commitment towards enhancing services in the aviation industry.
"As a Malaysian, I'm proud to launch a series of new daily scheduled flight from Subang Airport and play a part in making history with the Subang Airport team," he added.
TransNusa continues to operate three scheduled daily flights from Jakarta to Kuala Lumpur International Airport and four scheduled flights weekly from Jakarta to Johor Bahru.
The carrier first flew to Kuala Lumpur on April 14 2023.
