KUALA LUMPUR: Commerce Dot Com Sdn Bhd (CDC) and the Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance (MICG) are working together to transform Malaysia's procurement landscape.
The two organisations signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to leverage MICG's extensive expertise in governance and CDC's innovative technological solutions to create a robust procurement framework benefiting organisations of all sizes and sectors.
CDC is a leader in procurement solutions, known for its flagship product, ePerolehan, which has revolutionised government procurement processes since its inception in 2000.
MICG is an institute dedicated at promoting corporate governance standards throughout Malaysia through education, training, and thought leadership.
"By combining our technological capabilities with MICG's governance expertise, we aim to set new standards in public sector procurement, ensuring ethical practices and robust governance across the board. We are committed to supporting MSMEs and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence," CDC group chief executive officer Muzafar Kamal Shahaluddin said.
MICG chairman Sujatha Sekhar Naik said the MoU is a significant stride in practicalising governance by leveraging technology.
She said through robust policies and oversight to enhance corporate integrity, and by raising the benchmarks in ethical procurement practices, they hope to pave the way for a more accountable and transparent business landscape that ultimately contributes to a better Malaysia.
