KUALA LUMPUR: News on stock, crypto and ringgit moves.
The 30-stock key index continued its retreat as investors took some money off the table following the US magnificent 7 tech companies' lower-than-expected earnings.
Selective buying in heavyweights however helped it close just shy of 6 points lower to 1,615 points.
The key index will likely hover between 1,610 and 1,640 points tomorrow.
The ringgit continued to gain ground against the US dollar at 4.6600 ahead of the US' second quarter GDP announcement tonight.
The most traded cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, inched up to RM301,645 after a sharp decline of over 3 per cent at the beginning of Asian trading hours.
That's it for Market Pulse.
