KUALA LUMPUR: Kawan as Renergy Bhd has secured a RM58 million contract from Kinergy Advancement Bhd's sustainable energy solutions unit KAB Energy Holdings Sdn Bhd l.
The contract is for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of a 52-megawatt power plant and its associated facilities in Sipitang, Sabah.
It is estimated for completion by the first quarter of 2026.
Kawan Renergy managing director Lim Thou Lai said the project is a proof of its ability to deliver engineering solutions on time.
"Our diverse project portfolio currently includes industrial process equipment, process plants, and renewable energy and co-generation facilities," said Lim.
Kawan Renergy remains optimistic about its prospects given the sustained demand for its services.
