MMAG Holdings's MJets enters into bilateral cargo traffic agreement with All Nippon Airways

KUALA LUMPUR: MMAG Holdings Bhds' (MMAG) MJets Air Sdn Bhd has entered into a new bilateral cargo interline traffic agreement with All Nippon Airways Co Ltd (ANA).

This partnership came three days after the company's agreement with China Southern Airlines.

MJets Air is a commercial air cargo operator within MMAG Aviation Consortium Sdn Bhd (MAC) that currently operates a fleet of four aircrafts.

In a statement today, the company said the strategic partnerships underscores its relentless drive to enhance its operational footprint and connectivity across Asia in its quest to support Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) as a crucial cargo transshipment hub in the region.

It added that the collaboration combines the strengths and networks of both airlines, optimising cargo operations, streamlining processes, and delivering mutual benefits to both companies and their customers.

By enhancing connectivity between Southeast Asia, China, Japan, and the broader Asian region, MJets Air said the partnership facilitates smoother and more efficient cargo flow across these vital markets.

MAC chairman Woo Kam Weng said the partnership with ANA represents a significant leap forward in the company's mission as a key feeder operator to expand customers' and partners' reach by connecting them to each other's networks.

"By collaborating with two of Asia's largest airlines in such quick succession, we are dramatically enhancing connectivity and growth opportunities across the region."

"MJets Air serves as a crucial enabler, linking global markets to China, Japan, and beyond, particularly in the specialised transport of live seafood and perishable goods," he added.

To support the growing network, MJets Air is in the process of inducting two additional aircraft, which will further enhance its capacity to meet the increasing demand.

Moreover, the company is actively sourcing an additional four aircraft to sustain and expand its operations in line with its strategic growth objectives.
