KUALA LUMPUR: Aluminium extruder PA Resources Bhd has received a zero per cent dumping rate from the United States Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, following anti-dumping proceedings.
In a statement today, PA Resources said receiving a zero per cent dumping rate means that its aluminium extrusions are competitively priced and deemed to be sold at fair value in the United States (US).
The group added that this ruling enables its customers in US to operate without the burden of additional tariffs, significantly enhancing the group's competitive position for robust growth in one of the world's largest markets.
Group managing director Tan Sri Lau Kuan Kam said the zero per cent tariff status presents advantages for the group, opening new sales opportunities in the US and significantly enhancing its pricing competitiveness.
"With the recent acquisition of 18 acres of industrial lands for our expansion, we are well-positioned to enhance our production capabilities and anticipate the increasing needs of the market.
"The group is committed to leveraging these developments to drive sustainable growth and strengthen our presence as aluminium extruder provider in the renewable energy sectors and various industries, reinforcing our reputation for quality and commitment to fair trade practices," he noted.
PA Resources shares closed 1.56 per cent or half a sen higher today to 32 sen, valuing the group at RM470.99 million.
