KUALA LUMPUR: Warner Music Malaysia (WMM) and the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) have announced a partnership designating the former as the official music partner for the national football team, Harimau Malaya.
The collaboration was launched today at a ceremony featuring FAM deputy president Datuk Wira Mohd Yusoff Mahadi and WMM managing director Dinesh Ratnam.
The first initiative under the collaboration will be the production of an official football anthem for Harimau Malaya.
"As we all know, music is a crucial element that invigorates the spirit and excitement of football. It also serves as a means to connect generations.
"I am particularly excited to see the national football anthem created by WMM resonate with Malaysians, especially the youth from diverse backgrounds," Mohd Yusoff said.
He believes the official football anthem will inspire the Harimau Malaya players as they take the field to represent the nation in upcoming matches.
"My hope is that this partnership unites two powerful elements - football and music - to create unforgettable experiences for all Harimau Malaya fans," he said.
Dinesh said football is a sport beloved by all Malaysians, and WMM takes immense pride in supporting our national team, Harimau Malaya, both on and off the pitch.
"We are extremely proud to be the first official music partner for FAM. This collaboration presents a great opportunity to introduce music to the sports community, and bring engaging musical experience to sports fans.
"We are committed to supporting both music and sports in Malaysia, and hope this collaboration will enhance the spirit of sportsmanship among Malaysians."
The collaboration promises to elevate the Harimau Malaya experience, blending the passion of football with the power of music.
