Gamuda Land attracts large crowd at Wetlands Wonderfest carnival

KUALA LUMPUR: Gamuda Land drew a large crowd to its Wetlands Wonderfest carnival over the weekend, showcasing a fresh array of outdoor activities at Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands.

Among the new attractions were the Donut Boat Ride and the Shuttle Truck Ride for a Boat Cruise from Tasik Rusiga.

Gamuda Land manages the attractions at Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands, following a recent tripartite Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the federal and Selangor state governments.

Located within Gamuda Cove, the wetlands are a key element of the developer's placemaking strategy, earning it the title of "Nature Park."

Gamuda Cove also houses popular destinations like SplashMania Waterpark, the Wetlands Arboretum Centre, and Discovery Park.

Positioned as an ecotourism hub in Southern Klang Valley, the wetlands are home to a rich array of wildlife, including 14 species of reptiles, 225 bird species, and various mammals such as crocodiles, hippos, and horses.

"Our vision is to bring accessibility to Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands. We aim to curate a relaxing space where visitors can unwind and rejuvenate, all while discovering the beauty and wonders of nature.

"By saying so, the newly added outdoor activities are suitable for visitors from all walks of life," said Gamuda Land senior general manager (leisure and hospitality) Liong Ve Lyn.

In addition to existing experiences like boat cruises, safari rides, animal feeding sessions, and horse riding, the Wetlands Wonderfest featured meet-and-greet events with the GL Play Squad, an inflatable GL Play land, and pop-up bazaars from Jom Havoc Fest, Camp Cafe, and Picnic by Dluca.

Gamuda Land is continuously enhancing the wetlands with more interactive and engaging elements to enrich the visitor experience.
