KUALA LUMPUR: Sapura Resources Bhd says its managing director Datuk Shahriman Shamsuddin has been placed on leave of absence effective from Sept 11 amid ongoing investigative proceedings.
In its filing with Bursa Malaysia, Sapura Resources said no "determination has been made at this time, and the investigation is still in progress".
It said during the period, it haf appointed its chief corporate officer Mai Eliza Mior Mohamad Zubir as the officer-in-charge.
"Mai Eliza will temporarily assume the duties, functions, powers and authorities of the managing director, effective Sept 11.
"Further announcements will be made in the event of material developments on this matter," it said.
In August, Sapura Resources said Shahriman had been asked to abstain from managing its aviation business.
Sapura Resources added that the board aviation management committee had been formed to undertake his role.
