Heitech Padu bags RM892m immigration job

KUALA LUMPUR: HeiTech Padu Bhd today announced that it has bagged a RM892.2m job to design, build and deliver the National Integrated Immigration System (NIISe) for the Immigration Department.

The company received and accepted the letter of award from the Immigration Department today.

The contract is for a period of 60 months, running from Oct 18, 2024 to Oct 17, Oct 2029.

HeiTech Padu will submit a RM8.9 million performance bond to the government within 30 days of acknowledgment of receipt of the letter of award.

The company has been in the news since March this year for businessman Datuk Farhash Wafa Salvador's indirect investment in the company and its subsequent contract wins.

In April, he exited the company. HeiTech Padu in a statement then said its ability to consistently deliver is a key reason for its success in securing high-profile government contracts based on merit across different government administrations.

It secured a contract worth RM190.01 million from the Road Transport Department Malaysia (JPJ) in April this year.

In September 2024, the company secured a RM133.73 million contract from JPJ.

Trading in the company's shares were suspended today pending the announcement. It last traded at RM4.34 a share, giving it a market capitalisation of RM483.3 million.
