KUALA LUMPUR: Mah Sing Group Bhd (Mah Sing) has acquired 2.12 hectares of prime freehold land on Old Klang Road for around RM113 million.
This acquisition, the company's fourth for the year, is intended for the M AURORA transit-oriented development, with an estimated gross development value (GDV) of RM660 million.
Mah Sing said after the successful completion of M Oscar, which was fully sold and handed over in April 2024, the new M AURORA project will address the increased demand as a dynamic transit-oriented development (TOD).
"Subject to authorities' approval, preliminary plans for M AURORA include serviced apartments and retail spaces including drive-through units."
"Catering to working adults, families, and buyers seeking upgrades, M AURORA offers options for two, three, or four-bedroom layouts, with indicative sizes of 702 square feet (sq ft), 852 sq ft, and 1,005 sq ft and starting prices from RM468,800," it said.
Mah Sing founder and group managing director Tan Sri Datuk Seri Leong Hoy Kum said the new land acquisition taps into the potential of a well-established and matured neighbourhood."The prime location connects both Petaling Jaya and KL city centre."With its proximity to the Bukit Gasing hiking trail, residents will be able to enjoy a green environment and outdoor activities just a short distance from home, adding to the development's appeal for those seeking both city convenience and natural leisure options," he said.
Leong said the company is confident the project will replicate the success of the fully sold out M Oscar.
The registration for M AURORA is expected to open in the first quarter of 2025 (1Q25).
