KUALA LUMPUR: Serunai Commerce Sdn Bhd, a member of the Zaiyadal group, has launched an innovative "Scan Halal Logo" feature in its Verify Halal app, powered by advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
This feature, introduced at the Halal On Track event in Pahang and officiated by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, aims to enhance transparency and trust in Halal-certified products for both consumers and industry players worldwide.
The new AI-powered feature enables instant verification of Halal certification logos from Foreign Halal Certification Bodies (FHCB) recognised by Malaysia's Department of Islamic Development (Jakim).
As the demand for Halal-certified products rises globally, this technology empowers consumers and businesses to verify the authenticity of Halal logos instantly, ensuring the products they buy align with Halal standards set by Jakim.
"We are proud to launch the Scan Halal Logo feature, which harnesses the power of AI to ensure the authenticity of Halal certifications," said Serunai Commerce group executive director Datuk Dr. Lukman Ibrahim.
"This is part of our continued commitment to pushing the boundaries of technology in the Halal industry, and we are honored to have the support of the Deputy Prime Minister and Jakim for this initiative."
Serunai Commerce's collaboration with Jakim reflects a shared commitment to fostering innovation in Halal technology and setting new standards for certification transparency supporting both the industry and consumers in making ethical and informed choices.
