Heineken Malaysia led gainers in early trade today after posting a 28.6 per cent net profit jump, lifted by higher revenue and effective cost management.
The stock was up 16 sen, or 0.70 per cent to RM23.80.
The 30-stock key index opened on a lower note today, reflecting Wall Street's weaker performance overnight.
The index is expected to hover within the 1,610 to 1,620 range today.
In the crypto market, Bitcoin traded higher at RM372,988, driven by excitement over Donald Trump's election and hopes for a crypto-friendly administration.
Ethereum was trending upwards at RM13,836 and Solana was up at RM888
