AWC unit bags RM48.56m upkeep job for Menara Seri Wilayah in Putrajaya

KUALA LUMPUR: AWC Bhd's unit, Ambang Wira Facilities Sdn Bhd (AWFSB), has secured a 5-year RM48.56 million maintenance and facilities management contract from the Works Department for the upkeep of Menara Seri Wilayah in Putrajaya.

The building houses the Federal Territories Ministry. 

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia Securities, the company said a tender submitted by AWFSB for facilities management and maintenance service for Menara Seri Wilayah was been accepted by Putrajaya Federal Territory Works Departments (JKRWPP).

AWFSB had on Nov 18, 2024, accepted the letter of award from JKRWPP.

The contract will run from Dec 12, 2024, to Dec 11, 2029.

"The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of the AWC group over the duration of the contract," the company said in its filing with Bursa Malaysia Securities.

AWC's shares closed at 88.5 sen,  a 2.91 per cent increase from its previous closing price of 86 sen, giving it a market capitalisation of RM298.9 million.
