KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia rebounded to close higher at midday supported by healthcare and property sectors.
At 12.30pm, FTSE Bursa Malaysia (FBM) KLCI rose 0.23 per cent or 3.64 points to 1,607.68 versus Monday's close of 1,604.04.
The benchmark index traded within a tight range of 1,601.02 and 1,608.88 in the morning trading session.
Gainers led losers 442 to 371 in the broader market while 507 counters were unchanged.
On the index board, FBM Emas rose 0.27 per cent to 12,205.73, FBM100 added 0.28 per cent to 11,908.50 and FBM Ace gained 0.29 per cent to 5,189.95.
Gainers included Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd which added 48 sen to RM28.78. Dutch Lady Milk Industries Bhd rose 28 sen to RM30.28 and Hong Leong Industries Bhd rose 26 sen to RM14.12.
On the losing end, Nestle (M) Bhd lost 28 sen to RM99.02, Heineken Malaysia Bhd dropped 14 sen to RM23.50 and Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd shed 12 sen to RM21.88.
