KUALA LUMPUR: Meta Bright Group Bhd has partnered with Tunas Manja Sdn Bhd (TMG), a grocery and retail operator, for the installation of rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems at TMG's buildings under the Net Energy Metering (NEM) 3.0 Programme.
Tunas Manja has over 100 stores nationwide.
The collaboration also aims to explore energy efficiency initiatives across TMG's extensive property portfolio, enhancing operational sustainability while reducing energy costs.
Under the collaboration, Meta Bright will take the lead in developing, designing, financing, installing, and maintaining the PV systems for TMG's properties.
The first project under this partnership will commence at Tunas Manja Mart Wisma Air Putih in Kuantan.
Meta Bright executive director of corporate and strategic planning Derek Phang Kiew Lim said the initiative reflects both parties' shared commitment to ESG principles and highlights MetaBright's growing role in Malaysia's energy transition.

Meta Bright's share price was down 6.9 per cent, or one sen earlier, to 14 sen for a market value of RM329.52 million.
