KUALA LUMPUR: Nestlé Malaysia has teamed up with Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) volunteers to deliver 5,000 essential food aid packages to communities affected by flooding.
This collaboration brings together volunteers from Nestlé Cares and MRCS to prepare and distribute supplies to Temporary Relocation Centres (PPS) across the east coast and other impacted areas.
"The initiative represents an in-kind and financial contribution valued at RM2 million, forming part of Nestlé Malaysia's total 2024 commitment of RM4 million to MRC.
"These funds are dedicated to bolstering flood preparedness, supporting emergency response measures, and aiding recovery efforts," Nestle said in a statement.

"The monsoon season presents significant challenges, particularly for those in the East Coast. Our collaboration with MRC ensures timely aid for flood victims, providing them with essential nourishment.
"My heartfelt thanks to our volunteers, whose dedication ensures these 5,000 aid packs will soon reach those in need under MRC's efficient coordination," said Aranols.
