KUALA LUMPUR: Uzma Bhd's subsidiary Uzma Environergy Sdn Bhd has bagged a RM44.15 million sub-contract from Samaiden Group Bhd's unit Samaiden Sdn Bhd for the development of a 13.42 megawatt AC (MWac) solar photovoltaic plant in Sungai Petani, Kedah.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Uzma said the contract involved the development of the solar generating facility.
This includes interconnection and other works as outlined in the agreement with Tenaga Nasional Bhd.
It will be developed under the Corporate Green Power Programme, a virtual power purchase agreement between a corporate consumer and a solar power producer.
The project is scheduled for completion within eight months and 14 days, with the commercial operation date set for Aug 30, 2025.
Uzma's shares closed half a sen or 0.7 per cent lower at 73.5 sen, valuing the company at RM321 million.
