KUALA LUMPUR: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia (FBM) KLCI fell below the 1,600 level at midday dragged by financial services and healthcare heavyweights.
At 12.30pm, the index was down by 0.02 per cent or 0.27 points to 1,599.82.
It moved between the 1,595.70 and 1,606.28 levels in the morning trading session.
Losers led gainers in the broader market 474 to 416 while 495 counters were unchanged.
Maybank Investment Bank Bhd said utilities remain a winner in today's trading session, with YTL Corporation Bhd and YTL Power International Bhd bagging the top two spots in highest traded stocks by value.
"As we approach the end of 2024, 2025 is shaping up to be a volatile year as markets brace themselves to navigate Donald Trump's second presidential term," it said in a note.
