It added nine points to 1,637.
Among the top gainers at closing bell were Nestle and Heineken Malaysia.
The ringgit strengthened against the greenback at 4.4700.
In the cryptocurrency market, Bitcoin dropped to RM421,172 as its rally is stalling ahead of year-end.
Ethereum traded at RM15,342 and Solana dropped to RM866.
