KUALA LUMPUR: KPMG Malaysia has appointed Foong Mun Kong as its new managing partner effective from Jan 1.
Foong succeeded Datuk Johan Idris who transitions to the role of non-executive chairman.
Foong brings over three decades of experience in audit and assurance, having previously served as KPMG Malaysia head of audit.
"His contributions extend beyond the firm, holding positions such as vice president of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and council member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
Johan said the transition heralds an exciting new chapter for KPMG in Malaysia.
