Luxon: New Zealand firms like Skyline Enterprises are crucial to bolstering Malaysia's tourism

KUALA LUMPUR: The launch of Skyline Luge showcases the continued collaboration and strong partnership between New Zealand and Malaysia, according to New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon.

Luxon emphasised the significance of this partnership, highlighting how New Zealand companies like Skyline Enterprises are key contributors to strengthening Malaysia's thriving tourism industry.

"New Zealand and Malaysia have shared a strong, enduring partnership for more than six decades.

"I'm incredibly proud to see how Skyline Luge Kuala Lumpur has not only added to the local tourism landscape but also brought a piece of New Zealand to Malaysia," he said at the special visit to Skyline Luge on Tuesday.

The visit coincides with Skyline Luge Kuala Lumpur celebrating the milestone of reaching one million riders, nine months after its launch in December 2023.

Skyline Luge Kuala Lumpur general manager Gavin Barnes said that this accomplishment highlights the robust relationship between New Zealand and Malaysia.

"We are grateful for the warm reception we have received here. As we celebrate this milestone, we look forward to continuing our contribution to Malaysia's tourism industry and providing unforgettable experiences for all our visitors," he added.
