KUALA LUMPUR: Xiaomi has launched a range of smart hardware, namely the Mi Smart Band 5, Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 and Mi Electric Scooter 1S, Mi True wireless Earphones 2 Basic, their first Mi TV Stick and Mi Curves Gaming Monitor 34.
Besides that, three phones were also included such as the Redmi 9, Redmi 9A and redmi 9C.
The online launch was done by Xiaomi's president of international, Shou Zi Chew, Xiaomi's head of product marketing, Abi Go and senior product marketing manager, Danniel Desjarlais.
Smart band
The new Mi Smart Band 5 was revamped with a 1.1 inch high-resolution AMOLED display, which provides optimal viewing experience for users. It focusses on activity statistics, messages, and notifications at a glance.
The smart band also offers personalised 65 theme options via Mi Fit app and customisable function modules.
If you plan to exercise, this band can do heart rate tracking for 11 exercising varieties (yoga, jump rope, elliptical and more) through the improved PPG sensor. It also has new features for stress monitoring, breathing exercises, period tracker, Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI) health matrix and etc.
Furthermore, the magnetic charger charges with the strap intact that supports up to 14 days of battery life.
The band is water resistant, thanks to the 5 ATM water rating and users can also easily snap pictures using the camera remote feature.
It retails for 39.99 euro and will soon be available I n Malaysia.
Electric scooters
At the online event, Xiaomi also launched two electric scooters - the Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 and Mi Electric Scooter 1S.
The Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 is perfect for last-mile commutes and short trips strolls.
Users can experience a maximum speed of 25 km/h and up to 45 km distance in a single charge.
In addition, the 300W DC motor enables the scooter to climb 20 percent incline slopes. There is also an embedded LCD for easier monitoring of the speed, battery level and more.
The scooter uses 8.5-inch pneumatic tires that could withstand wear and tear and absorb shock. A dual breaking system is used for extra security.
The 14.2 model provides 2W headlight with an added front, rear, and side reflector to improve visibility and the foldable system that makes it practical.
Meanwhile, the Mi Electric Scooter 1S offers speed from 25 km/h maximum to 30km on a single charge.
The 250W brushless motor could do 14 percent inclines climb with a double braking system and reinforced pneumatic tires for extra safety.
The Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 and Mi Electric Scooter 1S are priced at 499 euro and 399 euro respectively.
Earphones
The Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic offers 5 hours of non-stop play with 20 hours battery life and 3 added charges from its case.
It uses dual-mic environmental noise cancellation technology which enables background filter and clear sound for phone calls and music replay.
Also, the in-ear detection allows the audio to pause by removing one earphone and pause or play by double tapping it.
The earphones support SBC and AAC code for iOS and Android devices.
It is priced at 39.99 euro.
Streaming device
The Xiaomi Mi TV Stick is a streaming device, powered by Android TVTM. It offers popular content titles, apps and games via Google Play in 1080p resolution and premium sound through Dolby and DTS systems.
Besides that, it offers easy access to Google Assistant, Netflix, and Prime audio.
Its Bluetooth remote control can easily cast contents via smartphones and tablets to larger screen due to the embedded Chromecast function.
The Mi TV Stick is priced at 39.99 euro.
Gaming monitor
Xiaomi also launched the Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34, which features a WQHD 3440x1440 high resolution display with a pixel density 2.5 times higher than full HD. It provides prominent visual clarity for games, videos or photos.
The 21:9 ultra-wide display expands the aspect ratio by 30 percent for immersive gameplay overview and multitasking space.
Meanwhile, the screen's 1500R curvature contours human vision to reduce distortion.
The monitor also provides a 144Hz game-level refresh rate, and 4ms response rate for ultra-smooth gaming experience.
The 121 percent RGB wide colour gamut ensures interfaces and complemented 300 nits vivid colour for adjustable brightness.
It also has a 3000:1 contrast ratio which gives life-like picture quality.
The Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34-inch is priced at 399 euro.
Smartphones
Three smartphones were also launched at the event, which are the Redmi 9, Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C.
The Redmi 9 features a quad-camera set up, a 6.53'-inch FHD+ Dot Drop display, and the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, which gives a 207 percent upgraded performance.
In addition, the phone uses a big 5020 mAh battery that will ensure uninterruptible daily usage.
It retails for RM499 (3GB+32GB) and RM599 (4GB+64GB), and available in Carbon Grey, Ocean Green, and Sunset Purple.
Meanwhile, the Redmi 9A retails at RM359 (2GB+32GB) and it comes in Granite Gray, Peacock Green and Sky Blue colour options. Redmi 9C (2GB+32GB) version is priced at RM429 and it comes in Midnight Gray, Sunrise Orange and Twilight Blue.
