KUALA LUMPUR: Xiaomi, in a live streaming event on its official Facebook page today, announced a lineup of its latest devices for the Malaysian market.
First on the list is the Redmi Buds 3 Pro earbuds. Designed to provide just the right sound for a wide range of scenarios, the earbuds are powered by hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) in four different modes alongside dual microphones to better filter out background noise and generate anti-noise sound waves to deduct up to 35dBof sound.
Available in two colours--Graphite Black and Glacier Gray, the Redmi Buds 3 Pro seamlessly pairs with the most Bluetooth devices and maintains a stable and uninterrupted connection throughout usage.
The earbuds also support dual-device connectivity, allowing effortless switching between two devices and also supports wireless charging.
XIAOMI 11 SERIES
Next, at the same event, Xiaomi announced an upgraded version of the Xiaomi 11 Lite, the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE.
Measuring a mere 6.81mm and weighing at 158g, the 11 Lite 5G NE features razor-thin 1.88mm on both top and side bezels, with a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 5MP tele-macro camera.
Available in four colours including the latest Snowflake White option, the phone houses a 6.55-inch AMOLED DotDisplay with 10-bit TrueColor support and Dolby Vision for stunning ultra vivid picture quality, incredible brightness, contrast and amazing detail.
Bundled with a toolbox of AI-powered features including One-click AI cinema, cinematic video filters, and a new Vlog mode, the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G Mobile Platform.
The device is also equipped with a 4,250mAh battery and 33W fast charging that powers up in no time.
Presenting the key highlights of the announcement was Xiaomi International's general manager of Southeast Asia, KM Leong, who gave a walkthrough of the latest Xiaomi 11T series smartphones, said to revolutionise smartphone photography and videography with "Cinemagic" filmmaking performance.
Featuring a powerful triple camera set up with a pro-grade 108MP wide angle, two-times tele-macro, and a 120 degree ultra-wide angle lens, the Xiaomi 11T Pro and Xiaomi 11T boasts impressive computational filmography capabilities with 8K recording and HDR10+, allowing users to capture footage with the same smart ISO technology found in digital cameras.
With one-click AI Cinema modes, users can distill the tricks of professional cinematographers such as Time Freeze, Magic Zoom and other types of complicated shots into just a single click while the faintest of sounds is brought to life in cinematic fashion with Audio Zoom.
Both devices are equipped with 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED flat display, TrueColor, and HDR10+, showcasing over one billion colours, boastings 1000 nits of peak brightness, up to 480Hz touch sampling rate and is shielded by the strongest Gorilla glass to date Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
The Xiaomi 11T Pro is Xiaomi's first smartphone to launch globally with the company's proprietary 120W Xiaomi HyperCharge technology. The industry-leading technology is said to be able to reach 100 per cent charge in just 17 minutes, giving creators more time to keep up with their creativity and minimise downtime.
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 mobile platform, the chipset makes the 11T Pro a real Cinemagic powerhouse. The phone also has a dedicated dual speakers with Sound by Harman Kardon, bringing engaging, intelligible audio across various content categories like music, movies, podcasts, and gaming.
XIAOMI PAD 5
Also making its debut is the Xiaomi Pad 5. Available in Malaysia for the first time, the Pad 5 is versatile as a productivity tool for both work or the classroom, but doubles as a premium mobile entertainment experience.
This portable workstation is packed with premium features to empower users to Play hard, work smart. Xiaomi Pad 5 is equipped with a 7nm high-performance Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor with a max clock speed of up to 2.96Ghz, 8,720mAh (typ) capacity battery, 13MP single camera and 8MP front camera (which supports 1080p video), 11-inch WQHD+ 120Hz display with support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio.
PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
The Xiaomi 11T Pro and Xiaomi 11T will be available in Malaysia from Oct 2, 2021 onwards. The Xiaomi 11T Pro is priced at RM2,099 (8GB+256GB) and RM2,299 (12GB+256GB), whereas the Xiaomi 11T is priced at RM1,699 (8GB+128GB) and RM1,899 (8GB+256GB). Both devices come in three colours with a brushed finish including Meteorite Gray, Moonlight White, and Celestial Blue.
The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE smartphone , meanwhile, will be available for purchase starting from Sept 24, 2021, and the phone will come in three variants--6GB+128GB which is priced at RM 1,199, 8GB+128GB (RM1,399) and RM 1,599 for the 8GB+256GB variant.
The phone comes with returning colours of Truffle Black, Bubblegum Blue, and Peach Pink, with an additional brand new colour, Snowflake White.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 will be available from Sept 24, 2021 and is priced at RM1,399 (6GB+128GB) and RM 1,599 (6GB+256GB). The Pad 5 is available in two colour-choices, the Cosmic Gray and Pearl White.
Xiaomi Smart Pen is sold separately and its price and availability will be announced soon.
