CHINESE smartphone manufacturer Honor has launched its 200 series phones and will be bringing the Pro model to Malaysia. This marks the first time the Chinese tech giant is introducing a Pro variant from its N series to the local market.
The series offers flagship smartphone features at a mid-range price point, with devices starting from RM1,899.
FLAGSHIP FEATURES
The HONOR 200 series comes with a 50MP triple camera system that has been co-developed with Studio Harcourt to offer studio-level portrait photography.
It can recognise scenes and adjust for lighting, colour, and composition before delivering a polished end-product, thanks to the HONOR AI Portrait Engine.
The HONOR 200 comes in two variants – RM1,899 for 256GB of storage and RM2,199 for 512GB. Other features include 12GB of RAM, a 50MP telephoto camera and 100W fast charging.
The HONOR 200 Pro model boasts enhanced specs, including a Snapdragon Gen 3 processor, 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM at RM2,699.
AI-POWERED
The HONOR 200 series comes with the latest AI features powered by MagicOS 8.0, which is HONOR's intuitive reimagining of the Android 14 system.
The Magic Portal offers app suggestions based on learned user behaviour across supported major apps such as Google Maps, Gmail, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and X.
For improved privacy, the AI Blur Private Info feature securely blurs sensitive information in screenshots.
HONOR's all-new smartphones also prioritise user comfort via its AI Eye Protection screen, which features 3,840Hz risk-free pulse-width modulation (PWM) dimming to reduce flickering in low-light conditions.
This is complemented by the AI Circadian Night Display that adjusts the display colour temperature to reduce blue light output and promote better sleep quality. On the Pro model, users will get AI Natural Tone 2.0 for more comfortable viewing across various lighting conditions.
LONG-LASTING BATTERY
The HONOR 200 series is equipped with a 5,200mAh silicon-carbon battery that enables long-lasting usage.
This is further supported by the inclusion of HONOR SuperCharge, which facilitates quick 100W charging when plugged in. The Pro version goes one step further with 66W wireless charging.
Featuring the same Super Reinforced Glass found on the durable HONOR X9b, the 200 series is designed to withstand accidental drops and hits.
This is backed up by HONOR's 365-day Front and Back Crack Replacement, which provides a free screen or camera glass replacement within a year of accidental damage.
The HONOR 200 series is now available for pre-orders, with buyers eligible to get freebies worth up to RM878. These gifts include the HONOR Earbuds X6 and a 365-day Front and Back Crack replacement.
