KUALA TERENGGANU: Jazari Robot Resources (Jazro) with Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) will be organising the #MyDigitalMaker virtual fair for the East Coast region from Oct 17 to Oct 22, 2021.

The educational fair aims to teach participants various subjects including robotics, coding, drones, 3D printing, space exploration, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Open to primary and secondary school students, the fair is expecting more than 5000 participants targeting mainly those from the three east coast states -- Pahang, Kelantan, and Terengganu.

"As the lead digital economy agency of Malaysia, it is our responsibility to nurture the love of all things digital, skills and knowledge in our future generation to ensure that they succeed and form the backbone of the digital economy," said MDEC's chief digital skills & jobs officer, Dr Sumitra Nair.

Jazro's co-founder, Dzulfarqeish Zainuddin, in a statement said that they are excited to have been appointed by MDEC as a #MyDigitalMaker Hub partner for the east coast region.

"Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics or STEM education is crucial to prepare our children for the challenging future. Jazeo is committed to making the virtual fair effective and fun too, to benefit every participant of different ages. We thank MDEC for this great opportunity," added Dzulfarqeish.

On top of webinars, #MyDigitalMaker East Coast will see several competitions taking place such as 3D Design, Create Your Own Game, drone challenge, Mission to Mars Space Exploration, and Arduino Innovation Challenge. Jazro will be collaborating with various institutions to organise and deliver contents tailored for participants during the six-day fair.
