AS part its macOS Monterey 12.1 update, Mac users now are able to use SharePlay on their machines, which allows them to share TV shows, movies, music, etc with thier friends on their FaceTime video calls.
The new feature is not just about sharing entertainment stuff, but can be used for sharing work-related or productivity stuff.
For a work environment, SharePlay can be particularly useful in collaborating on documents, where everyone can edit and share their thoughts on a slideshow deck, Pages documents, or even getting input on an e-mail draft.
Besides that, users can also do photo slideshows, as it's now easy to show the latest photos and videos from right in the Photos app, or have others offer feedback while editing photos and videos.
Users can also browse the web together. For example, in planning for a trip, sharing a Safari page is great for planning. This can be extended to shopping for a gift, or even a major purchase like a car.
Finally, for the gaming community, SharePlay allows them to show off their gameplay to their friends in real time.
The SharePlay feature doesn't have to be on Macs, as users can also can share their Mac screen with friends who are on their iPhone or iPad or vice-versa.
