KUALA LUMPUR: Surprise surprise, singer Jaclyn Victor is now a proud mother of two!
The 38-year-old vocal powerhouse who recently rocked the stage at the Sea Games 2017 closing ceremony with her performance, took fans by surprise when she announced the birth of her new baby girl on her Instagram account yesterday.
What amazed fans even more is that the Gemilang singer revealed that she had given birth on Aug 24, just seven days before she performed at the much-anticipated event.
In her post yesterday, Victor uploaded a collage of her son Jonah Joshiah Rivera and her newest bundle of joy, named Molly Marguerite Rivera.
"Both born on the same day, 24th August, but 2 years apart. They look identical kan? (right?),” she wrote in her caption.
She also included a throwback picture of herself on day before she gave birth, and said: “This picture is to prove that I really was pregnant hahaha! Ye la kita tak announce kan? (Well I didn’t announce it right?) So there you go people.”
Another post by Victor today saw her uploading another image of her daughter to formally introduce her to her fans and followers, sharing that her daughter is named after her mother and mother-in-law.
"Now that she is finally here, I just wanna say that I am so thankful to the good Lord above for seeing me through this pregnancy with no issues whatsoever. I was able to carry on with my lifestyle as usual.
"Thank you also to the friends of the media who understood why I didn’t want to announce my news and also to my family and close friends who supported me throughout.”
Victor married American singer-songwriter Shawn Rivera in
2014 and gave birth to her firstborn last year.
