KUALA LUMPUR: Popular actor Farid Kamil is saying "no" to more romantic photos of him and his actress wife Diana Danielle on social media.
“Instagram or Facebook does not determine the strength of anyone’s marriage. Posting many photos may please fans of celebrity couples, but some may think it is ‘window dressing’ to cover up problems,” he said in an interview recently.
Farid was responding to recent rumours that his five-year marriage was facing problems. These cropped up after social media photos revealed that they did not celebrate this year’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri together.
Diana had earlier explained that she had to stay behind to care for her mother who had fallen ill with dengue fever, while Farid and their children, Muhammad, 4, and Nur Aurora, 2, returned to Kedah.
“We will only upload photos of us which we think are worth sharing. We don’t need to prove we’re a strong, loving family because our true fans know that,” said Farid who will appear on the big screen in Tombiruo: Penunggu Rimba on Oct 12.
Directed by Seth Larney, the film, based on the novel of the same name written by author Ramlee Awang Murshid, also stars Zul Ariffin, Nabila Huda Suhaimi, Faizal Hussein, Farah Ahmad, Hasnul Rahmat and Datuk M. Nasir.
