G-Dragon thrills fans at his second Malaysian concert despite the rain

KUALA LUMPUR: The rain didn’t stop fans of South Korean superstar G-Dragon from enjoying his World Tour Act III: M.O.T.T.E Live In Kuala Lumpur concert at Stadium Merdeka last night.

It had rained earlier during the day but it ceased at about four hours before the show. The downpour returned at around 9pm, resulting in the thousands-strong crowd to scramble for their rain ponchos.

Still, the party atmosphere surrounding the concert venue didn’t falter one bit as G-Dragon, 30, continued to deliver his hits which includes Crayon, One Of A Kind, That XX, Michigo, Heartbreaker and Untitled 2014.

This is G-Dragon’s second solo concert in Malaysia, with his first being in 2013 for his One Of A Kind world tour. He also performed here together with his South Korean group BigBang for their Alive Galaxy Tour 2012 as well as World Tour [MADE] in 2015.

“This is Act III: M.O.T.T.E and I’m Kwon Ji-yong (G-Dragon’s full name). I’m finally back here in Malaysia! You missed me? Show me (how much)!” the singer-songwriter-producer told the crowd, who screamed their hearts out in response.

The star’s guest performer of the night was Sandara Park, his YG Entertainment labelmate and former member of South Korean girl group 2NE1. She had joined him on stage to perform his songs Missing You and Hello.

After Malaysia, Act III: M.O.T.T.E continues in Japan, England, France, Germany, The Netherlands and Taiwan.

G-Dragon 2017 World Tour Act III: M.O.T.T.E Live In Kuala Lumpur was presented by IME Productions and sponsored by Umobile.
