KUALA LUMPUR: Shuttler K. Letshanaa suffered a setback in her bid to secure a first World Tour title as the world No. 63 lost in the women's singles final at the Super 100 Indonesia Masters II in Surabaya today.
Third seed Letshanaa, who last tasted victory at the Uganda International Challenge last year, fell 21-19, 21-17 to world No. 331 Ni Kadek Pratiwi.
Although Letshanaa could have achieved a better outcome in the final, the 21-year-old's maiden appearance in a World Tour final will likely boost her confidence as she aims to improve and establish herself as a world-beater.
