SHAH ALAM: Shahir Zawawi may not have won Akademi Fantasia Megastar (AF Megastar) last night, but he has definitely won the heart of actress Erra Fazira.
The Gopeng-born singer promised fans he would be proposing to Erra, whom he had been “romantically-linked” with, next year.
Shahir, 29, reiterated an earlier statement that he planned to propose to Erra in the nearest time, and regarded the recent gossip about him and air stewardess Mona Syamimi Mohd Samsudin as “part and parcel of showbiz life”.
“It’s not the first time that I’ve been the subject of such gossip, thus I’m not bothered about it. I’m the same Shahir, but now, I’ve decided to take a major step by proposing to Erra next year,” he said after the final concert of AF Megastar at the Royal Theatre here last night.
A week before the concert, Mona uploaded a photo of her with Shahir on social media, and claimed that she was more than just a fan. Shahir however denied that they were romantically linked.
