KUALA LUMPUR: After much speculation, handsome actor and producer Datuk Hans Isaac finally announced that he and his fiancée Aileen Gabriella Robinson will not be walking down the aisle as planned.
The 46-year-old Johor Baru-born released a Press statement today to announce the unfortunate news.
“Dear members of the media and friends, it is with great sadness that the wedding, announced after my engagement on Jan 28 this year, will not take place,” he said.
“After much soul searching, it has led to my decision to not proceed with the wedding.”
He also apologised to his friends and family who have shown him support over the last few months and wished him happiness for his future.
“Thank you once again for all your support and understanding,” he added.
Hans however, did not mention the reason behind why the wedding has been called off.
Speculations of couple trouble first began last June when Hans announced that the July 29 nuptials be postponed to “a few months later”.
However, he claimed that their friends and families were unable to make the July 29 date.
Breakup rumours returned last August when Hans had mysteriously deleted all of Robinson’s pictures from his Instagram.
Robinson added fuel to the fire when she did the same to hers, but claimed that her open-to-public Instagram account is for work purposes only and that she had a separate account for personal postings.
Hans then spoke to the media, denying that their relationship was on the rocks.
When interviewed last June, Hans said that 70 per cent of the wedding preparations had been completed.
However, Hans’ Instagram post today, of a photo of the words “Never Doubt Your Instincts” with the caption, “A leopard will never change HER spots! Time to move on” told a different story.
Right after announcing their engagement last February, Hans and Robinson hit their first hurdle in their relationship when Robin Coenraad, professing to be Robinson’s boyfriend, had said that Robinson had cheated on him with Hans.
Hans and Robinson first met in 2011 when he was a preliminary judge for Miss Tourism Malaysia, in which she was a contestant. They reunited last year and their friendship bloomed into a serious relationship.
