(Showbiz) Siti Nurhaliza to put work aside for six months to focus on baby

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s No. 1 singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin plans to get back to work actively only when her yet-to-be-born baby is six months old.

The 38-year-old songstress who is now six months pregnant plans to focus on her baby first, which is due in March next year, before getting back to singing and business.

“I’ll only be returning back to work actively when the baby is six months old. In the meantime, I’ve already made arrangements for my business during that period,” she told the press at a lunch meeting here recently.

“As for my singing career, I plan to have a concert at the end of next year,” added Siti.

While it’s been a trend of late for celebrities to introduce their newborns or toddlers to the limelight from a very early age through reality TV shows, Siti said that she had not made any plans for that, and if there were any offers, she’d need to discuss with her husband, Datuk Seri Khalid Mohamad Jiwa, first.
