KUALA LUMPUR: Having waited 11 years before she had children, Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza is now lending a helping hand to "unlucky" couples.
The 46-year-old pop queen is sponsoring about 20 eligible couples keen on undergoing the in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) method.
Siti said in a recent TikTok video that her charitable foundation Yayasan Nurjiwa was offering sponsorship to married couples who had yet to have children after several years.
"I want to share some good news with couples who have been married for a long time but are still trying to have children.
"You can now apply for the Nurjiwa: Perfect Love IVF Programme. Applications are limited to 20 couples.
"Good luck and may your dreams come true," she said.
According to Siti, married couples can apply to Yayasan Nurjiwa by registering on its platform and subsequently undergoing screening.
Many netizens praised Siti for her compassion towards couples longing to have children.
"Thank you Tok Ti for willing to help less fortunate couples realise their dreams, you are the greatest," said one netizen.
"You are always an angel of mercy to the less fortunate."
Siti married businessman Datuk Seri Khalid Mohd Jiwa on Aug 21, 2006 and they welcomed their eldest child, Siti Aafiyah, 6, on March 19, 2018 after she underwent IVF treatment.
On April 19, 2021, Siti gave birth to her second child, Muhammad Afwa, 3, through IVF treatment as well.
