KUALA LUMPUR: South Korean singer Nam Tae-hyun has had enough of negative Instagram comments that linked him to his former K-Pop group, Winner.
The 23-year-old had left the group in November 2016 due to mental health issues, and later established his own label South Buyers Club, and band South Club to continue working on his passion in music.
According to a news report on Soompi, Nam took to Instagram to say that he only answered interview questions about leaving Winner because he had to, not because he wanted to.
“If I talk about the reason for leaving in detail, do you think it will be my loss?” he wrote.
“Shut up and stop leaving malicious comments while I keep quiet and keep the whole story under wraps. I don’t like to fight. So just keep on cheering the person you like.”
Nam added that he was no longer an idol so he could live by his own rules without needing to necessarily keep up the image of being nice and hardworking.
“I work hard on my own will. I do what I put my mind to. That’s why I eat and live better than you guys who insult others while sitting at home.
“If you don’t like me, stop caring about what I do and leave me alone.”
However, the post had since been deleted from his account.
