KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Datin Diana Danielle refuses to comment further following the extended remand order issued by the courts today to her husband Datuk Farid Kamil.
“I’m reserving to comment until all has subsided. It is best for me to keep my silence for now. This is done in the best interest of my family. Thank you,” she said via WhatsApp message when contacted by the New Straits Times today.
The extended remand order was issued by Assistant Registrar Hairul Azhar Mohd Ishak against the 37-year-old actor to enable investigations to be carried out under Section 323 of the Penal Code, Section 90 of the Police Act, Section 15 (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 353 of the Penal Code.
Looks like Diana is staying firm on her decision to refrain any comments until the dust has settled.
Earlier at the Petaling Jaya court complex, Farid, who had arrived in a police patrol car, managed to steal some time to thank his fans and fellow artistes who were there to show their moral support.
Meanwhile, his brother Fadzil Zahari when met outside the Petaling Jaya court complex, said that he felt relieved to see Farid Kamil in a better condition emotionally and physically today compared to last week.
“Our main concern now is his health and safety,” said Dr Anis Anwar Zahari, Farid’s other brother who joined Fadzil at the court complex.
The drama surrounding Farid Kamil’s arrest occurred on Thursday when he went to Kota Damansara police station to lodge a report over a traffic accident.
While engaging the staff at the counter, the actor reportedly flew off the handle and slapped a policeman on duty. The incident was reportedly witnessed by several other policemen and members of the public.
He was also alleged to have kicked two more people at the same venue.
