KUALA LUMPUR: In a recent posting on her Instagram, actress Nadia Brian shared a video of her with a 12kg python coiled up around her body.
The video was actually part of a scene in the upcoming film Ratu Kala Jengking: Puteri Keranda, in which the 27-year-old artiste is the lead actress.
Captioning the video, Nadia, whose full name is Nadia Najwa Mohamed Rashidi wrote: “Throwback kejap time shooting filem epic Ratu Kala Jengking. One of the toughest scenes for me. Tapi, this experience sangat lah awesome! Can’t wait to watch full film Ratu Kala Jengking soon. By the way, this sexy ular sawa nama dia Jamilah, weight 12kg tau.”
Although this marks her third feature film, this is the first time she has been given the trust to play the lead role.
“It’s the most challenging role for me so far,” she said in a news report recently.
The film, produced by A. Aida Productions, is based on a true story of a woman from Johor named Cik Siti Aminah Tanah Mahsyur who had married 99 men, but none survived the first night of being married to her.
Directed by Bade Azmi, others in the cast are Mas Khan, Amar Ashraf, Fizz Fairuz, Firman, Eyra Hazali, Raja Azmi and Fauziah Nawi.
Ratu Kala Jengking: Puteri Keranda is slated for a 2019 screening.
