KUALA LUMPUR: Wedding bells are in the air for Malaysian actress Koe Yeet, who recently announced her engagement.
The 32-year-old artiste, known for her lead role in the Singaporean period series Titoudao: Inspired By The True Story Of A Wayang Star (2020) and its sequel Titoudao: Dawn Of A New Stage (2023), shared the happy news on Dec 1 through Instagram.
In a series of photos, the proposal appeared to take place on a beach, though Koe chose to obscure her fiancé's face.
One image showed her fiancé carrying her on his shoulder while she held a bouquet, another captured her running into his arms, and a close-up highlighted the engagement ring.
"My heart is bursting with joy," she wrote in her Instagram Story.
Details about her fiancé remain scarce.
Koe had previously mentioned a long-distance relationship with an unnamed man in 2020, but it is unclear if he is her current fiancé, according to The Straits Times.
The announcement has garnered warm congratulations from industry peers, including Hong Kong singer-actress Gigi Leung, Malaysian actor Jaspers Lai, and Singaporean stars Chen Yixin and Joel Choo.
Koe, who debuted as a child actress, gained recognition in Singapore after appearing in Jack Neo's comedy film Ah Long Pte Ltd (2008).
Outside of entertainment, she is a qualified lawyer with a degree from the University of Reading.
Called to the bar in 2018, Koe briefly practiced law before returning to her passion for acting.
