#Showbiz: Actress Anzalna says 'no' to selling Tun M artwork

KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Anzalna Nasir may have received offers of thousands of ringgit from prospective buyers, but she has declined to sell her portrait of the Prime Minister.

Talented artist Anzalna, 30, said: "The offers may be attractive, but I've decided to keep the portrait of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, as I've put in a lot of time and effort to create it. Furthermore, it is not easy to come up with portraits, and it requires a lot of discipline and focus."

The star of Memori Cinta Soraya also said she turned down an offer from individuals to purchase her painting of the Kaabah in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, which she recently displayed on Instagram.

"It's not the time to sell these works of art yet. Maybe someday," she explained.

Anzalna has sold 12 of her artworks to date, and is taking a break from painting, due to her hectic drama schedule.

She will also be filming some television advertisements overseas.

"Every few weeks I get offers to paint various things, among them felines and abstract works."

Anzalna hopes to organise her own art exhibition someday.

Last month, Anzalna sold a string of handiwork with all proceeds going to charity, and impressed Netizens with a portrait of Dr Mahathir.
